Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of mysite-name's French language courses in England. Please read them carefully before enrolling to ensure a clear understanding of our educational services, student responsibilities, and the language learning process.
1. Service Agreement
By enrolling in mysite-name's French language courses—whether through our website, telephone, or in-person registration—you agree to these terms. Our educational services comply with relevant UK regulations including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and quality standards for language education.
We specialize in providing quality French language education with cultural immersion for students across England, including preparation for official DELF/DALF examinations.
2. Educational Services and Cultural Approach
Our French language courses include proficiency assessment, teaching sessions with native speakers, cultural immersion activities, learning materials, and DELF/DALF exam preparation. We integrate French cultural elements including cinema, literature, and contemporary media into our curriculum.
We reserve the right to modify cultural content to ensure authenticity and relevance to current French-speaking societies. Course materials may be updated to reflect evolving language usage in francophone countries.
3. Student Responsibilities and Cultural Engagement
To ensure successful French language acquisition, students agree to:
- Attend scheduled classes regularly and participate in cultural activities
- Complete language assignments and engage with French cultural materials
- Practice French pronunciation and participate in conversation exercises
- Respect cultural differences and diverse perspectives in the classroom
- Adhere to academic integrity standards in all assignments and assessments
Active participation in both language practice and cultural activities significantly enhances the learning experience.
4. Enrollment and Payment Terms
Course enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment or agreed deposit. We require payment before course commencement, with payment plans available for longer programs. We accept bank transfers, major credit cards, and educational funding options where applicable.
Prices are quoted in British pounds and include standard learning materials. Additional charges may apply for DELF/DALF examination fees, specialized cultural resources, or private tutoring sessions with native speakers.
5. Language Assessment and Level Placement
We conduct comprehensive French language assessments evaluating listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills to ensure appropriate course placement. Assessment results determine entry into specific CEFR levels (A1-C2) corresponding to DELF/DALF framework.
Students may request level reassessment during the first two weeks if the initial placement proves unsuitable. Final placement decisions consider both assessment results and classroom performance.
6. DELF/DALF Examination Preparation
Our exam preparation courses follow official DELF/DALF specifications and include mock examinations simulating actual test conditions. While we provide comprehensive preparation, examination success depends on individual student effort, attendance, and engagement with preparation materials.
We facilitate registration with accredited examination centers but cannot guarantee specific examination dates or locations, as these are determined by the examination centers themselves.
7. Cultural Activities and Immersion Events
We organize optional cultural activities including French film screenings, conversation clubs with native speakers, and cultural workshops. Participation in these activities enhances language learning but is not mandatory for course completion.
Some cultural activities may involve additional costs for materials, venue hire, or special guest speakers. These costs will be clearly communicated in advance.
8. Academic Progress and Certification
We conduct regular progress assessments aligned with CEFR standards and provide detailed feedback on all four language competencies. Certificates of completion are awarded to students who attend at least 80% of classes and demonstrate satisfactory progress according to course objectives.
Our course completion certificates indicate achieved language level but are separate from official DELF/DALF certifications, which require separate examination through accredited centers.
9. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Students may cancel enrollment up to 14 days before course commencement for a full refund. Cancellations within 14 days of start date may incur an administrative fee of 15% of the course cost. Once courses have commenced, refunds are generally not available except in exceptional circumstances.
For DELF/DALF preparation courses, examination fees paid to external centers are non-refundable once registration is confirmed with the examination center.
10. Student Conduct and Cultural Sensitivity
We maintain a respectful, inclusive learning environment that celebrates cultural diversity. Students must demonstrate cultural sensitivity, respect different perspectives, and adhere to our code of conduct. We reserve the right to remove students who violate these standards without refund.
Use of automated translation tools during assessments or classes without permission is considered academic misconduct.
11. Intellectual Property and Cultural Materials
All course materials, teaching resources, and educational content are our intellectual property. This includes specially developed French language exercises, cultural guides, and assessment materials. Students may use these materials for personal educational purposes but may not reproduce, distribute, or use them for commercial activities.
Authentic French cultural materials (films, literature excerpts, music) are used under educational fair use provisions and must not be distributed beyond classroom use.
12. Liability and Educational Outcomes
We provide quality French language instruction and cultural immersion experiences, but cannot guarantee specific examination results or language proficiency levels. Individual progress depends on multiple factors including student effort, prior language experience, and consistent practice.
Our liability is limited to the course fees paid. We are not responsible for opportunities lost or gained based on French language skills developed through our courses.
13. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute, we encourage direct communication to resolve issues amicably. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled under the laws of England and Wales through the appropriate courts.
We are committed to resolving educational concerns fairly and efficiently. Please contact us first at [email protected] with any course-related issues before pursuing formal dispute resolution.
14. Terms Modification
We reserve the right to update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our educational services, UK regulations, or advancements in French language teaching methodologies. The current terms are always available on our website, and continued enrollment in our courses constitutes acceptance of any updates.
